I used the ziphone on my 16GB iPod touch. Too happy to unlock the 1.1.3 firmware finally. Didn’t notice that it doesn’t work with it. But thanks to your help I was able to restore it again.
Thank you.
Hope they jailbreak the 16GB soon.

Hi Patrick
Common mistake made was it was not in DFU mode. Please search my site for how to do that.
Cheers.

i have a hacked iphone, when i was installing some apps it just froze, i restarted it but it does not start, it stays on the apple logo, however it does show the itunes logo with the plug, so i know that it does go into recovery mode. when i put it in the recovery and it is about to install the firmware it says that the apple mobile device service is not started, unknown error (1603). i reinstalled itunes already but the same thing happens.
What should i do?

Hi carlos
Try reinstalling iTunes (completely remove the older versions first).
After that, make sure you restart your computer.
Hope that helps.
Cheers.
