    You are great! Man!
    But I have questions:
when I hold “Home” button and hold “standby”
it does not say “slide to turn off” but instead blank screen appears. after there is “apple” icon which is followed by this message:
    BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0
and this error message copies itself many times.

    please please help me…?

    Hi Ed

I’m sorry but I don’t think there’s a “slide to turn off” slider if you’re attempting the ZiPhone’s jailbreak.

Anyway, keep holding down both the Home and Standby button until it restarts. Do not let go even after the Apple logo. After a while (while still at holding both the buttons), you should reach to the Recovery Screen. If you’re seeing the BSD root loop, perform the “Home+Standby” combination again.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck.

There is a far easier way to enter recovery mode. Turn your itouch/iphone off then HOLD the Home button and plug in your cable connector, and you’ll get into recovery mode. This way I found far easier than timing the home and sleep button trick, but I guess they both work just as well.

Heres a video of how its done as well.

    Hi cman

Try making your iPod into DFU mode/Recovery mode prior to restoring.

If still getting the same error message, uninstall iTunes, and install a latest version. Then try again.

    Cheers.

    Hi Patrick

Common mistake involves not going into DFU mode. Please search my site on instructions on how to do that.

    Cheers.
