For all your medias, you can just re-sync after the restore.

For applications, I suggest you reinstall them again. Reason? You don’t want to go through all the hassle doing the manual backup, then reinserting them, then figure out that permissions are not set, then you’ll need to reset the permissions, then you’ll need to test whether they are compatible or not.

Before you knowing, you’re facing a new set of problems.

Hence I strongly suggest you reinstalling the apps via Installer after you have re-jailbroken your iPod.

I’m suggesting that you restore your iPod Touch, and re-jailbreak it again. It’s a long tedious process — I know. But that’s the only way (for now) to remedy this problem.

By the way, if you do attempt the restore, DO NOT RESTORE PREVIOUS BACK UP DATA. You’ll know it after you’ve completed restoring it.

Do all your necessary jailbreak, then sync your music, videos, photos etc.

Unless you want to wait for someone to figure out for you, I’m just giving you a credible suggestion.

Try uninstalling iTunes COMPLETELY, then restart computer, install iTunes (7.5 or the latest one, doesn’t really matter), then restart computer.

Now connect to your USB dock connector, launch iTunes, and try restoring.

If you do a restore, you will lose EVERYTHING inside your device, however, certain settings are intact (e.g. settings, I’m not sure what else though…).

Sorry about my english. Bad english usage on my side. What I’m suggesting is to Restore the device (back, as in, again or back to original factory).

This, however, is just a temporary fix for the syncing problem. I’m still looking for the solution. If you don’t want to lose all your media, DON’T ATTEMPT THIS, and wait for a solution.

My only suggestion is to try to restore back, while NOT RESTORING THE BACK UP. That means, you’ll have to start it as a new device.

If it won’t register in iTunes, you’ll need to set it to Recovery Mode. Simply press and hold both the Home and Standby (Sleep) button until the iTunes + Connector logo appears (approx 30 secs).

hey man about the restoring the back not the back up, can you describe that better, im not getting how to restore just the back. and does this process erase all the media and apps? and again can you show me how to do it?
