Paypal Scam

Don’t fall for this folks. I just got a real smart scam that I almost fell for it.

For a start, I didn’t even own a Paypal account, so how the fuck can it be legitimate? Here’s the email content.

PayPal has been receiving complaints from our customers for unauthorised use of the PayPal Online accounts. As a result we periodically review PayPal Online Accounts and temporarily restrict access of those accounts which we think are vunerable to the unauthorised use.

This message has been sent to you from PayPal because we have noticed invalid login attempts into your account, due to this we are temporarily limiting and restricting your account access until we confirm your identity.

To confirm your identity and remove your account limitation please following the link below.

Click Here (link removed by me!)

PayPal is committed to ensure the safeguard of each customer’s personal information, making sure only authorised individuals have access to their accounts. It is all about your security.

First off, there’s a few mistakes in this email.

Look at the mailed-by tag, it’s not even from paypal.

There’s a spelling mistake. It’s not very obvious, but it’s there.

Is that how you spell “vulnerable”? These scams are vulnerable themselves.

Oh, that’s stupid in japanese. I took it off from a translation site hehehe. For those who receives this stupid message, just mark them as spam, and hopefully no one else will get tricked.

    lol, this paypal scam have been around for quite some time. I think I have at least 5 of the same scam from different mailed-by in my junk folder.
